For a more historical view of Tenafly there is no better place to go than Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s house. Elizabeth was a popular campaigner of women’s rights and lived in the house in Tenafly from 1868 to 1867. These are the years in which miss Stanton was most active in the suffrage movement and wrote many speeches and articles to fund the movement from the house in Tenafly. Although now privately owned the house itself is a marvel to see.

Tenafly also has many community groups which have much to offer any visitor to the borough.
